I am copywriter and communications expert with more than 25 years of experience in creating content for print and digital platforms. Working with organisations of all sizes and types, I create and shape compelling marketing and communications.
My career began in lifestyle journalism where I covered subjects such as overseas property, travel, antiques and photography. Then, while working as a freelance copywriter, I enticed audiences to buy coffee, false lashes and burglar alarms, among other things.
Now working primarily in science communication, my current clients include the University of Oxford, University of Edinburgh and University of Reading. I’m involved in projects that help us make sense of the world around us, from the earth beneath our feet to faraway galaxies. My work engages a range of audiences, from school children and the general public to local and national policymakers. I also create content marketing for major brands in the design and architecture sectors.
I regular train writers and non-writers, sharing tools and insights to help others write effectively, efficiently and confidently. Work with me and I’ll ask lots of questions. Curiosity is good – it helps me determine what makes your project or brand stand out and how to get your target audience to care about what you do.
